Citalopram for 10 weeks for anxiety

Posted , 4 users are following.

Had severe panic attacks which have now improved on Citalopram 30mg but have been unable to swallow food for a few months now only very soft food which is extremely uncomfortable and so frustrating. Have had all the tests but they say it is anxiety and all in my head.

I would go back to your GP for further reassurance .

citalopram can cause a dry mouth and if youve had investigations , there is nothing wrong , i would say it will eventually pass .

    panic attacks are horrible .

remember how they also affect you physically , and its our brains and mind that cause them . same with swallowing .

there are some wonderful books by Dr Claire Weeks . in one book , there is someone with this problem .

while she is counselling them she gives them a drink and a biscuit . later she tells them they ate the biscuits without any problem, because they'd forgotten . I think youd find her books very helpful .
