Citalopram for anxiety AND depression

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hi everyone. I have been on citalopram for about 6 weeks(20mg for 4weeks) and was originally prescribed it for anxiety. It helped my anxiety majorly, but I now seem to be suffering from a pretty horrendous case of depression(well, aren't they all?) does anyone have any experience in being treated with citalopram for anxiety and depression? Maybe asking for a higher dose? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance xx

    hi.

i was on 10 mg for 3 weeks then had it increases to 20 mg 3 wks ago

good response after initial first week then went down again, but on day 19 of 20 mg i suddenly felt fantastic and have luckily continued to do so!!  feel like my old self once again.  hope you will do same. ( no bad side effects either like when i tried sertraline and fanaflaxine 18 mts ago horrendous)
