Citalopram monthly symptoms normal?

Hello everyone.

I have a few questions regarding citalopram I have started on 10mg for a 45 days in march and was upped to 20mg because I didn't notice any effects. I have now been on this new dose for 45 days and citalopram as a whole for 85 days. I noticed change in weeks 4-5 mornings got easier and then weeks 6-8 seemed to be the waves of up and down but now I'm unsure if it's working at all I had a breakdown and just wrote my GP for advice. Am I not giving it enough time is this still early or what?
