im in the same situ, i had an amblulance called as was i thought i was having a heart attack, it was a panic attack. never had one before but always suffered with anxiety.

im now day 2 into CIT, after being on propanalol for 2 month (didnt work for me)

im now having what i can only assume are side effects of CIT

how long do these last for? im going to my gp tomorrow as they didnt explain any side effects to me, even tho i asked. so ive been panicking all night about these symptoms.... until i found this site.

Silvia how you coping with the cit?

I was the same called an ambulance feeling I was going to pass out and die (999 controller: what's you symptoms? me: DEATH, yep I said that lol). I think it helps to see your symptoms so when they come you know it's just anxiety and you can pay it no attention. Side effects for me from week 2 until now (week 14). Not all have lasted until now and some were there before the meds.

    Sweating (still have, sheer sexiness)

    Feel dizzy/faint (still have)

    Blurry vision

Nausea (still have but not as bad, could only eat once a day if that, my waistline is loving life)

    Cold flashes/feeling cold (still have)

Heartbeat Tinnitus in right ear (completely gone)

    Palpitations (only get during panic)

Life like, vivid nightmares (eased off)

    Increased sleep paralysis (eased off)

Feeling mental (still have, feel less mental)

Feeling like I'm going to sh×t myself

Feeling like I can't cope (still have but decreasing)

Continually on edge (still have but decreasing)

Suicidal during panic attacks (at one point this was bad but its calmed down)

Low mood (still have but not as severe)

low energy to Hyper/Increased energy (still have)

Increased emotions (still have, intense feelings of love, anger, happiness, sadness)

    Rapid speech (still have)

Irritable (still have, not as much)

    Restless leg/constant fidgeting (still have)

Began with sleeping a lot to insomnia (Insomnia is bad just now)

    Racing thoughts (still have)

Constant anxiety/fear (still have but not as bad)

Feeling I was going to die constantly (only happens if I get a panic attack)

Increase panic attacks in numbers and severity (still there but much less)

    DP/DR (still have) sv

Severe morning anxiety/panic attacks (still have but less severe, good job I'm single)

Health anxiety - thought I had blood clot, sepsis, (nearly gone dont obsess as much, stopped googling!)

Social anxiety (still there but not as bad)

    Paranoia (still have but easing)

Perosnally I think it's a list of dateable qualities particularly the night sweats 😃 Alot of these side effects are actually symptoms caused by myself and how I'm reacting to the temporarily increased anxiety and physical symptoms. They are all easing off slowly and becoming less noticable with me not paying them as much attention. Still struggling but not as bad as a few weeks ago. Citalopram isn't enough so I use different techniques (elastic band, panic attack diary, meditation, cbt, self help books, mindfulness or blasting led zepp in my ears) I better be zen as hell in a few months! I try to find humour in it when I can. Eases the tension.

After the constant setbacks it gets better...
