Citalopram to Escitalopram

Has anybody made this transition?

    Yes. I was told cipralex is a sister of citalopram, but helps if you ocd, and other issues. I take 30mgs and it equates to 60 mgs of citalopram. I had no issues other a bit hungrier at times. But it's not a bad exchange and I feel a lot calmer with cipralex ( another name for escitaopram). 

    Good of luck if you are changing, go with it. It does e en out

    Feel the need to say this; don't know why people ask for advice as to side affects, etc. from various prescriptions they have been prescribed?  Or does it work, etc.?

    Medications have very different outcomes for people, what might work for one person may not work for another person.  It's the same with side affects, one person might be just fine with a particular med, another person not so much.

    escitalopram is supposed be a "cleaner" version of citalopram so side effects can be less. Butlike the other poster said, what works or not for one can have the opposite effect on another
