Citalopram withdrawal worrying side effects

hi all,

i has been on 40mg of citalopram and around october i decided i wanted to slowly come off them.

Fast forward a few months and i am going through hell again.

My nightmares have increased. I am avioding certain situations due to my anxiety.

My trust for my husband has gone completely out the window and my sleep levels have doubled .

I have no energy to do much apart from work then want to sleep all the time .

I have a young family and feel i am letting them down.

My husbands job changed a year and a half ago and although its made him happy the effect on myself and the pressure of dealing with everything by myself is reaching its peak now where by i cant deal with the pressure anymore .

I am so low again but , dont know where to turn .

Thank you for reading any advice would be great

you tapered too wuickly. Going from 40 to nothing in that short term is asking for it x I would reinstate your last dosage and settle back at that x these meds can tske a year or more to wean off x the taper needs to be done verrrry slowly.

hey emma, first of all bless you, i know what withdrawal from this med is like, secondly i think that is still too fast, im super sensitive and get bad withdrawals so i have to drop 2mgs a year! you could probably go faster than that but never follow a doctors taper theyre far too fast! here if you need to talk x
