CKD and symptoms any link?

Hi

Im ckd 3a/b can anyone tell me if there is a link between swelling to fingers which improves after drinking more fluids and ckd?

Im abroad at mo and weather is hot, sunbathing etc have developed swelling to fingers worse in mornings and tender, which seems to get better if I drink more fluids could it be dehydration?

It would make sense but I dont have any swelling elsewhere only very lethargic. Other than this I feel great.

Any input greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hi Jane I have CKD too but been transplanted which means I'll always have some degree of ckd. That said I'm abroad just now too and without fail I struggle to get my ring off my finger. Maybe it's just a mild symptom and perhaps we're not drinking enough.

    All the best

    Hi Jane,

I have CKD Stage 3A/B. I usually get swelling from either being too sedentary or dehydration. Mostly dehydration. Drink plenty of bottled water and have a great time.

      Thanks Stevie and Csedugger

Think I knew the answer but 3 of us cant be wrong!

I get same symptoms at home usually after working extra hours or nights .. so not drinking enough.. must try harder!

Do you still reduce the salt though in hot weather?

      Thanks 😁
