Hi Christine, it doesn't sound as if your doctor was very positive. I have ckd 3 and very high blood pressure. The blood pressure is caused by the damaged kidney, so he needs to be doing test to confirm, not just say it is anxiety. I have a badly scarred kidney which doesn't help. Also a very small percentage of people go on to get kidney failure so try not to worry. Get them to get it under control and ask for second opinions if your not happy.

My doctor still doesn't know the cause of mine,, thinks maybe I had a lot if infections as a child that weren't treated.

As for feeling drained all the time I find a little exercise every day actually helps.  Hope your doctor finds out the best way to treat you.

Hi Christine, sorry to hear of your experience, he does not sound a very positive doc😞. Did your GP refer you to the specialist? I don't know much yet about kidneys but I understand that you can help yourself with a more kidney friendly diet, so maybe ask docs about that, I intend to at my next appointment! I also have low ferritin, and foods that are good for that are maybe not so easy for the kidneys to deal with, so a knowledgeable opinion will hopefully help! Did he tell you your current Egfr? Hope things get better for you.
