Hi Margaret
I loathe the whole PIP process at the moment, so much so that I have been having a right go at my local MP with regards to how messed up the whole process is. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with CFS and following a PIP assessment, was awarded the standard rate living component of PIP. Since then, I have had my confirmed diagnosis changed to CFS, Fibromyalgia, IBS and Anxiety, and am in a far worse health state than I was when first awarded PIP, with my illness rendering me housebound. Following a PIP review earlier this year it was decided that I was not entitled to PIP anymore??? How can that be when I'm in a worse physical state now than when I was when I was first awarded it? It made no sense to me, and especially so when my sister in law, who was diagnosed with CFS alone, was awarded PIP! Upon reading the report issued by the DWP I noticed a lot of discrepancies between the assessors report and the DWP write up, and have therefore appealed the decision, although I don't hold out much hope for a positive outcome as being housebound I am unable to make the appeal hearing in person, and this doesn't usually bode well for a positive outcome. My MP has said that he will be in contact with the tribunal service to see what he can do, whether he has any influence is another matter as MPs are not usually able to have any influence over the DWP and their actions. It's made me wonder why I tried so hard in the 30 years of my working life to make a better life for myself, and pay all the taxes I have, just to be told that I am not entitled to any help for the current hardships I face.
You are perfectly entitled to apply for PIP, whether you get it or not is another matter, it seems the government are cracking down on who they hand out awards too, yet I'm sure there are people out there who don't deserve it to be awarded it, and others that need it but fail to be given the help they need.
Good luck with your application.

Sorry to hear that you are being messed around 😡. I'm sure that your MP will try to help. In the mean time, stay positive and good luck.😊🍀

Hello. I don't see why you wouldn't be able, as I heard you can still have pip at work. Not sure if your husband working will effect it, but I would give it a go anyway.
Good luck😊
