Classic AS symptoms, B27 positive but clear MRI

I have been discharged back to GP by Rheumatology as my recent MRI was clear. Really frustrated as I have many symptoms of AS plus the positive gene but no damage showing on imaging. Cant imagine GP will do anything. It cant be right to live with daily pain, i'm only 47.

Is there anything I can do, ask for a second rheumatology opinion? Is it possible to have AS with no damage on MRI?

I believe there is, it is called non-radiographic axial AS

I think this is like early stages of the disease before there is any significant damage.

I am 18 and I am likely to have this condition too, i am just waiting for my mri scan, but don't let them tell you that there is nothing wrong as you know your body better than anyone and know when things are not right.

Wishing you the best of luck x
