Clear discharge

Hello all,

Just had a period that ended last Monday. A couple of days after I had brown spotting as my period ended then a clear discharge for a few days. Has this ever happened to anyone? I have had this discharge when I'm ovulating but not usually at the end of a period. Thankfully it has stopped but it was weird.

    Hello there,

I've had it but not associated with periods directly because I've never had them, but I did get the discharge when I moved onto hrt. I did some research and it seemed it was a natural reaction, and it went away after about 5 days. I agree though it was a bit disturbing because in my case it was quite watery. Obvs something to do with hormonal changes... Joy😊 xx

Yes I think I did read about this somewhere that it has to do with hormonal changes. It's was just alarming at first, not to mention yucky and gooey. 😜

I had this exact phenomenon with my last few periods before Sept. which is when my periods stopped-- I am hoping for good; we shall see. So it seems to be a normal part of the later stages of menopause.

Actually, what I am wondering about at present is that I've had a clear discharge on and off for the last few weeks with no period at all. At the beginning it looked very much like ovulation fluid. I don't think I have an infection because there is no bad smell and no other symptoms. So I am wondering whether others have had a clear discharge once their periods stopped, or as they began to do so.

I have been skipping periods lately in fact this past one was the first I had since the beginning of January. I went a whole 70 days between a period. That is the longest ever. So I hope this clear discharge is a sign that I am close to the end of these periods.
