Clearing up!

Hello,

I finally found a helpful dermatologist.  Like many of you, the first 2 doctors told me that steriod cream was the only thing that may help and not to expect great results.  I tried going gluten free.  No change.  I tried the Autoimmune Diet and the inflammation did get better but the rings were still spreading and the diet was really limiting.

Here is what is working for me:

Minocycline 100mg twice daily

Tacrolimus ointment .1% twice daily

The doctor told me that different things work for different people.  I've only been on this regiment for 5 days but there is already a noticeable difference.  I'm hoping I will be GA free soon.

I will keep you posted.

I will keep you posted.

      Hi Cathy,

My GA isn't gone but is much improved.  I've attached a before and after photos of my hands.  The doctor told me to give it 4 months.  I have a follow up appointment the first week of August.

Let me know if you have any questions.

      Thanks,

      Lynn

      Hi Lynn.

I have been dealing with GA for a couple years now.

I would love to hear what has helped you. I have been burning mine away with nitrogen but it's not so nice to have scars.

        Any help much appreciated

      Regrads

      Matt.

I tried apple cider vinegar, cutting out dairy, cutting out gluten....none of it worked. My GA has cleared 90% in just a few weeks by a combination of using Ultravate ointment and Plaquenil orally. I hope this helps someone as I have dealt with GA for many years.
