clicking/moving joint

Hey guys! I'm 6 weeks post op tomorrow and I've been walking without a crutch for a good 2 weeks now with no problems. Yesterday however while standing and slightly moving my leg, I could feel the joint move/click like it was slightly moving positions or going in and out of place. It only happened twice and hasn't happened since and was not painful at all but just wondering if that's normal or should I be concerned?

thanks everyone!

I could hear a similar noise after my operation.  I mentioned it to my surgeon and he said it was the ligaments or something.  It went away and I don't have it (or at least don't notice it anymore).

I am 9 days post op and can almost feel clicking and snapping. Thought it might be ligaments and the general looseness of everything in there. Glad to hear others have encountered this.

When doing my exercises I feel a clonk in the right hip, have spoken to my surgeon and it is normal whilst the new joint settles, I am only 3 weeks post op.

No worries.  I had it too.  It will go away.   It's all part of the healing process....

    It's a weird feeling, isn't it???

I've been told that this is actually from tendons and other connective tissues moving across the hip! It usually resolves within a week or so.

But, as always - if it gets painful or inflamed, see your GP or surgeon.

    Good luck.

Its pretty normal in most cases as long as you don't experience any pain.
