Have just seen a clip on CBC NEWS Canada (a DR Lamb?) Who performs keyhole surgery on BUNIONS WITHOUT pins. They say it's performed in ASIA AND Europe. Has anyone heard of this in Oz? THESE PEOPLE ARE BACK AT WORK WITHIN A WEEK!! Have been waiting for this type of surgery to avoid pins?

i had
orthoscopic on bunion, small pin incision, shaved more then the bunion.

Sorry, what does "shaved more than the bunion" mean? They shaved the bone but shaved too much? How are you feet now? Was it worth it?

I did read about people who had this kind of procedure and their bunion returned almost immediately because of the soft tissue. I guess it depends on how long you've had bunions and how severe they are. I'd rather have the screws (which I do) than go through surgery again.

tried to find the clip but couldn't, do you have a link?
There is now surgery with dissolveable Magnesium screws that I would have investigated had I heard about it in time!
