Hello all. I have been diagnosed with lichen sclerosis in addition to vulvodynia. My main symptoms are clitoral fusion and narrowing of the vaginal opening. For some reason I haven't been able to find a steroid cream that I could use that doesn't cause me a horrible vulvodynia flare (feels like my entire pelvis goes into spasm) and was wondering if anyone had alternatives they use that have helped with this symptom. Thank you.

Can you describe your vulvodynia flare, I too have both and would be grateful if you can tell me what has given you relief. I currently wash with hydro mol, use lidocaine ointment to cope on bad days. My LS is inactive at present.

Hi ladies. Try coconut oil and rise with baking soda. I also use vit E and Mongolian sea buckthorn oil. All natural stuff.

I've  been using Emu oil twice a day( morning and night) and i feel much less sore and itchy,   I have fusion and no inner labia...  I have no idea if it can be reversed, but i do feel better than i have in ages.   I bought it from  amazon.

i haven't used the steroid cream since i have used the emu oil, which is good because  it never feels like its helping much......

You can trust this is the most ridiculous condition I've ever heard of. I had a dream after reading this article last night that happened to me. I don't have what you have yet but I do have the arrow opening and of course the canal is just AZ small. We're talking I'm going from an ex-husband that I made love to you every night 7 years to a relationship where I really have had sex and now I have this I may never have sex again. Most likely unless I learn more or find a way to deal with this I probably will never have sex again and I am continuously aroused all day long. I thought it was due to stress but I do think it's an overactive nerve. There is a condition that is around involving that. Anyway this whole thing just blows really

Re your feelings of arousal it may be that your cliterus is affected by LS so try some steroid on that.

I second that. I had a streak of that feeling of constant arousal during a bad flareup. It's frustrating to say the least. Get steroid on it and you should soon have relief. Moisturizing it with extra virgin olive oil also helps.

Hi rockin, i know its hard but please stay hopeful. I find when I focus on my LS it always seems worse and the stress tends yo cause more symptoms.

It will affect your sex life of course (mentally more than anything, for me at least) but if you refuse to let this disease beat you it wont. There are decent people out there who will be understanding of this condition and want to pursue a sexual relationship with you anyway.

To original poster i only have LS but i find good alternatives are emu oil, aloe oil, perrin's (who have several creams). Also worth looking at herbal tea's and maybe anti histimines if you have thyroxin issues.
