Clob application... some uncertainty!

Hello,

I have been using clob ointment since the beginning of September (I was diagnosed in August 2015). I have noticed that the white patches have started to disappear but now my question is where should I apply the clob if I do not have those white patches anymore? I dont remeber EXACTLY where they were. Also, I was wondering if it sounds okay to be applying dermol 500 and then instantly after apply the clob ointment (or should I wait between the two?) After I appy the clob should I wait before I apply anything else? I have been applying pure vitamin e to my vulva after the clob (I like the consistency of it). I also have coconut oil but I did not love applying that to my skin.

Also, I was wondering if any of you ladies know if I can just get a simple surgery to ujnhood my clitoris. I was lookig into the PRP treatment but I am still unsure about it. I was looking into the treatment that Dr. Casabona does in Italy. I am currently living in London. My main concern if the fused skin over my clitoris- do you know of surgeons who would perfrom this procedure? Also, is PRP a permanent treatment- or does it only last for a year or two?

I am feeling pretty low lately. Sex has been extremely painful. My clitoris hurts after- and I am in burning pain. Again, I am 25 years old so I feel a little lost right now.

Thanks for all of your help. I always appreciate it!

Oh, Nicole, I feel for you. In my research online in general, using a scalpel to un-bury the clitoris usually results in fairly quick re-scarring. But there is an experimental procedure that uses water to blow out the smegma and debris to separate the layers. This is cutting-edge (no pun intended) and I don't recall where I read about it. Pretty sure it was in the US.

Have you tried plain old Vaseline? For some reason it soothes my burning like not much else. It's a really effective barrier. Could you put it on before peeing? Maybe then the urine wouldn't sting.

Clobetasol takes months to really settle things down - 18 months in my case. That's why we talk about so many supplementary things to do iin this forum. Two years ago I was so raw and itchy, I was always standing up to pull my pants out of my crotch – who knows what people thought! Now I can hardly remember what that was like. But if you keep having sex while you're flared up, clob can't really reverse that aggravation. That's what I'd been doing when I went to the hospital with a giant burst abscess over my clitoris.

Dear Lori, your dr. must have told you that you would be on Clobetasol or another steroid for the rest of your life.  My Dr. (and just about every one elses here) started the treatment at twice a day for 6 weeks, then once a day for 6 weeks, then every other day...and at some point, after one or two follow up appts., hopefully to twice a week then once a week.  If I remember correctly, tho, the steroid did help right away...my dr. (at that time) never told me about emu oil, or emuaid, or coconut oil...etc.  I found all that out when I found this board.  Then one lovely lady here tried using a pinch of baking soda in a spray bottle of warm water after every bathroom visit and that helped her so much, most of us started doing the same thing and that has been a wonderful help and treatment....please keep reading all the letters on this forum.  You will find many things to try and things that will definitely help you.  However, I am not at all saying you should not go back to your dr. in two weeks....by then  you will have lots more questions to ask and hopefully you will get more help than you have gotten so far.

Or throw 1/3 cup baking soda into the bathtub water and soak 20 minutes. That's absolutely delightful!

    Hi Nicole

I too am never sure about where to apply ointment. My doctor never said, nor did my gyn and its confused me for months as I have no white patches nor ever did, I have two lesions, one bigger than the other on either side. The Clob burns me to heck on there but I have been persisting. Two biopsies came back with LS ... I really was doubting it before then as I look nothing like the pictures I have seen. Except for the disappearing labia, I have that; but fusing? I don't even know what it really means as my labia just shrivelled away gradually.

Im sorry for your sex life at your age especially, my heart goes out to you.
