I was resently prescribed clobetasol gel. I have been using Clobetasol ointment off an on for the last 5-6 yrs. Why the change? Is one better or more potant than the other. I have had LS for 15 yrs now. I'm 36 now. I can't say my LS is under control.

I think I remember my doctor telling me that when it comes to Clobetasol, the ointment is the most powerful stuff. That's the only medication that works for me. I use it once a day for three weeks (I strated off using it twice a day because the irritation was so bad), then go off it for two weeks. The three-week regimen is enough to at least stave off the irritation for the period that I'm off the medication.
