Hi everyone !

Im taking lexapro and along with that, I am also taking clonazepam also call klonopin since 3 years.

my highest dose was 0.5mg.

I am now at half of a 0.25mg which is around 0.175mg at night since almost a year.

I would like to know if people did the withdrawal of that tiny amount and how do you proceed???

I only have it as pill forms.

Thanks again

I also started at 05 mg. When I started to wean, I was told to drop by a half of a pill. Not knowing any better, I did. Well that was a mistake...........

I then was told to go from .25 to .125. Again that was a mistake.

When I got to 0125 mg. I dropped it every 2 weeks to .08 to .04 to .03 to .02

I went through awful withdrawal. and after many months of withdrawling i was done.

Unfortunately, it did not end there. I went through withdrawals for many many months after.

I went through many waves and windows daily. Worst time of my life.

BUT, it does get better. You just have to keep an eye on the end result. The only thing that helps is that time and patience are your friend.

    Just keep remembering that

    How have your withdrawals going?

when I decreased, I didnt actually felt withdrawal I guess.

I was also stabilising on my lexapro. maybe it was mixed to that???

I am taking half the 0.25 since a long time. And since it pills, I guess its hard to know how to cut.

Did you cut the pills??? How did you manage to have the right dose? How long did you stay on each dose ? and how long did you took for the withdrawal ?

How many months did you taper before jumping off?

i am doing kind of cold turkey from diazepam. i only used 2 x 2.5 mg for like 10 weeks. then went to 0 in 2 weeks. the following 6 weeks however I made the mistake of using once or twice 2.5 mg a week for stress full events. since 2 weeks I really stopped using. i have reasonable days and horible days (like today). I would really like to know how long it will take me to get a normal life again.

      Hope you stabilise soon...

I wonder 2.5mg of diazepam is equivalent to what mg of clonazepam ???

2,5 mg diazepam equals 0.125 mg clonazepam (according Ashton manual)

      so I used 2 x 2.5 mg diazepam/ day which equals 0.250 clonazepam / day for 10 weeks (only).

I would assume I should have less withdrawal symptoms then someone who has used for years?

but my mistake I guess is I withdrew cold turkey and then kept using occasionally for 6 weeks.

I should have used a nice detox scheme but I wasnt aware of this principle. perhaps that is why I have many withdrawal symptoms now.

Hi,I am in the process of a slow taper. I take xanax, highest taken was 4-0.5 mg daily(2mg), I than went to 3-0.5 a day this was over a matter of about 3 months, now I am decreasing one half a pill per I dose daily, meaning I went from 3 to two and a half, hoping doctor let's me hold that for as long as I need to. She so far is agreeing to take it slow. I am also a starting cbt therapy for anxiety. She would like me to start a low dose Lexapro also to help with withdrawal. I am in the states. alprazolam/xanax can be gotten in a scored .25 mg pill, I don't know if Klonopin is available that way or not. When I get down to .25,my thoughts are I will get that instead of the 0.5 which I now use a pill splitter to halve. I plan on splitting the scored .25 with the splitter to halve the pill. I don't know if I will than jump off the med or split that last piece for a month or at least a week or 2,again even if it's tiny, pretty sure I could half that small piece. Every doctor I have talked to wants me to go on a small dose antidepressant..Lexapro has a good patient rating for anxiety. Also am considering CBD oil which is legal in my state. My doctor has no issues with it.

i have also a subscription from the doctor to use lexapro. So far however I have not used it. I read on the internet lexapro has many side effects too and is also addictive. so I try to detox without, which is definitely not easy.

Google consumer reviews lexapro, has a very high rating, that's why I am considering it.

I like lexapro, it helps me.

I have been on meds for a long time due to my anxiety. I stopped it 3 years again and my doc switched me to others who did not agree with me. So it was a long 2 years going to one and other antidepressants...bad mistake. Back to lexapro since a year. It took a longer time to stabilise but Im way better. Still feel anxiety at certain moments but everybody feels some anxiety once in a while.
