Clozapine

I've been on this stuff for a month now. I'm on 150mg morning and night. I also go to the clozapine clinic every week to get blood checked and to get the next week's supply of the drug. I know I haven't been on clozapine for long but I am floored all the time with no energy. Is anyone else taking this stuff? If so, how long until your body got used to the sedation?

When your return to the clinic explain how you are feeling, you will need to give this medication time to work however if you are having problems do you have a telephone number for the Clinic that you can call

If you are tired, when are you taking your medication, do you have any options when you can take this medication ?

      Hi there

I've been on this for about five weeks and take 150mg twice a day. I realise it is not a long time but it really does floor me. I was at the clinic today and mentioned it to one of the nurses and was taken aback when he said it could take months until your body adjusted to it. I see the psychiatrist on the 19th July and will raise it with her. It may be that I need to reduce to 100mg in the morning and 200mg in the evening. I'm not sure I could tolerate an increase in the morning dose. On the plus side, no voices or horrible images and thoughts, that's a bonus.
