Co-amoxiclav 500/125

I have been giving these for a pain in my tail bone the doc (who seamed to jsut want to pam me off) give me them saying i had an infection when personaly i think i have an in growing hair.

after taking one tablet i had a small headake and an hr later i felt very ill and i had a massive nose bleed that lasted ages that we thought i was going to have to go to A&E to get it to stop. i didnt think this was conected to this tabket but after researching it online i can see that it very much is linked. i think i may have been giving these when im not ment to have them. can anyone give me advise??? should i complet my 7 day course and see or do i go see another doctor???

    I guess your GP thinks you are developing a Pilonidal Sinus or Cyst. If you have an allergy to Penicillin then you definately shouldn't take Co-amoxiclav but if (after taking a dose) you are suffering with stomach upsets, mild cramps and (later) a little diarrhea then these are all common side effects, try and complete the course but if you experience any other worrying phenomenon or exceptional side effects then give up and see your GP again smile

    thanks man but i ended up going to hospital and had to have an operation to remove the problem it turned out to be an absess

    Gosh it must have been throbbing bad to make you want to go to the hospital, good idea though, it certainly saved a lot of messing about. Keep an eye on it smile
