I was loading up with codeine based painkillers at about 5pm every day as a result of addiction. I recently went to the far east on holiday, and so 5pm in the UK was 12pm there. I therefore was able to avoid withdrawal symptoms in the evenings and made sure I was tucked up by 11pm. Two weeks should crack it, plus you get a holiday to boot with loads of distractions from the everyday stresses you have at home.
I have also found that getting on an exercise bike at 5pm and blasting away for 30 to 40 mins creates enough natural elation hormones in the body to suppress the co codamol urge.
These are just 2 things that have worked for me.
