      Hi Karen,

Thanks. I have both, but the main problem is the LS and with the LP the mouth. Do you use the coconut oil on the vulva too?

Thanks, I'm using the aloe Vera now and was going to give it a month as although the itch is not present much, the shrinkage is still taking place, so I was thinking to try this instead.

Hi Karen, I did have the marina coil and then abnormal smears and subsequently a hysterectomy, I think my symptoms started after the hysterectomy but were only diagnosed this year. I'm only 44 so a little disappointed to have these diseases at my age,

Mine got worse after a hysterectomy at 50, I am now 59.  I think I have had it most of my teenage and adult life on occasions.  I have torn and had uncomfortable sex on and off.  Affected two of my marriages but fortunately hubby three is lovely and understanding.  We are now celebate which is mutual.  Takes the pressure off and somehow I think our marriage is stronger.  We have so much time for each other.

Let us know how you get on.  I am quite interested in this treatment.

It is amazing how many of us have developed this following a hysterectomy or other trauma to our nether regions.  I think it affects our immune system which goes into overdrive trying to heal things and doesn't stop when everything is back to normal, it then starts to destroy our parts.  When I first started researching this I read a lot about women who have been sexually abused suffering from this condition which would go along with this thought too.  I can't imagine more trauma than that caused to a person who is forced into a sexual act.  I am sorry you are so young but you have lots of helpful people on this site who are willing to listen and offer advice if you need it.

You are only young Samantha, your right shouldn't have to deal with all this, do you have regular dental checks, I quite like my dentist and good to talk to much better than the doctor

I am so pleased for you Chrisy must be nice to have such a caring husband, I am in the middle of a divorce after 20 years he went off with a girl at work I am on antidepressants.... Don't think my problems helped, I was talking to a girl on here and we think it would be good to try and get together and form a support group.

I love this site and it is like therapy for many of us but do not think I could cope with a support group, but I think it may well help others.  Talking in person would not be my thing.  Good luck with it though if you go for it.  I am sure others would be interested.  Maybe your gynae or dermatologist could help you set one up in your area.
