Codeine addiction and withdrawal

Hi Everyone..
i know now that must be a lot of discussions about this subject but even though there the same as my issue I've never found one that is for me and will answer my own questions.
I am am so embarrassed to talk about my problem and who better to talk to than you guys, who may be like me and overcome this issue.. so here is a little bit about me:
i have a 5 year old daughter and a 6 month old son who I adore and would do anything in the world to have them safe and happy.. so why am I taking codeine and why can't I stop?
I take stupid amounts and taking co codamol / nurofen plus when my script runs out - I have now taken my repeat prescription for codeine phosphate off and have 2 8mg co codamol left.
I only really take take this in the morning to motivate me to get on with the day. Whilst that sort of works it's started to make me feel sick
please ser don't judge me.. this started after a accident a work and they told me that because I got paid daily I wouldn't be paid for any days off so and now I'm in no pain but can't stop.
I was was just hoping for some advise (now I have decided I don't want to live like this) on how I can just get over this and be able to be a normal person and have energy I'm on mat leave at the moment so have the time to fix myself.
Thank u for reading.

Hi
Thank you for your reply.
Can I ask how the mental side effects have been like for you? I've read once the physical symptoms are finished you are left with the mental urge to go by another packet ECT.
Hope you don't mind me asking
