COLD FLASHES

Good Tuesday Evening, Ladies...

Has anyone else, besides me... experienced COLD FLASHES? They're the opposite of hot flashes, obviously! I live in a city that has four evident seasons. That being said, as I type this post, it is the WINTER season!!!

Having said that, there are countless days I can not get warm! I have to put on layers of clothing, and my thermostat is always on a comfortable 76 degrees. Most days when I experience the COLD FLASHES, I'm usually sitting next to a heater, fully-dressed-with a hat on my head and a scarf around my neck!

WTH!!!

This is definitely ANOTHER menopausal symptom! Let's number it: SYMPTOM #728, if you will!!

FYI: It happens in the summer also.

Hi Vivian, I live where its really cold in the winter as well, I am also cold all year round and especially in the winter.. I have hashimotos so that doesn't help with the cold .. I use the hot gel packs you heat you heat in the microwave for a couple min, for warmth and for my joints they are awesome.. Also curl up with the heating pad, and or a heating blanket.. They also have those personal fan heater that blow right on you., and when im really freezing I warm up with the blow dryer sounds crazy but don't care warms me up super quick haha just some ideas.. Think ive always been cold as a young girl growing up I use to wait for the furnace to cycle on so I could stand near the heat register just to warm me up., haha take care hope you warm up and this cold snowy winter ends soon I'm ready for spring..

yep, the other night when I went to bed it was warm enough to be uncovereed in bed, and my husband was, but I had to wear a more covered up nightie plus singlet and covered up with a light coverlet. Then by about 4:30am I was boiling and sweating. You have no idea over the years how many times Ive checked my temp when this happens incase its fever (even though I have no other reason to suspect Im sick) especially now with COVID paranoia.
