Cold or menthol like feeling in mouth?

8 weeks ago i woke up with strong heartburn suddenly and it was almost continuous for over a week every day. it would peak and go back down throughout the day, didnt seem to be food related. started omeprazole and 3 days in it stopped the heartburn so ive got more from drs. i havent had painful heartburn since but ive got a constant what can only be described as menthol sensation in my mouth? is this heartburn related or a side effect of omeprazole? its driving me mad my mouth, gums and back of throat always feels like ive had an airways chewing gum and taken in a big breath. i feel like im going mad!?
