Cold sensation on the inside of my skull, after injury to right top of head

I have been told by my neurologist that its normal to have this cold feeling on the inside of my skull after suffering from an object falling on the right side of my head when a passenger jumped up once we got to the gate, and flipped opened the overhead compartment why is it cold? What does this mean? Does it last forever or is this one of the many symptoms I'm experiencing in Post Concussion Syndrome or not???
