    Hi

Cold sores are not a side effect of taking the meds - cold sores is a virus and is passed by skin / skin contact. Once you have this virus it will last about a week and go away - however now that you have the virus it will lay dormant in your skin and will flare up occasionally. I've had this over 40 years and crops up about once a year. Its a lifelong complaint.

Causes of flare ups often happen if you're run down, have a cold or even the sunshine can do it.

They're very painful and highly contagious, so no kissing anyone when the sores are present. Once they're dormant its fine.

But I suspect somebody has passed this to you. Its definetely not a meds side effect. If you had them before then the flare up is probably due to you being run down.

      Hi

Ooh that's interesting - not read that, but worth noting. I do hope the cold sores don't give you too much of a problem though - I know how painful they can be, and hope it isn't the meds that have flared them up.
