Cold/tingling foot after fall

Last night I lost my footing coming down the stairs and fell. I immediately felt pain in my ankle, but nothing severe, just like I'd bumped it. It was on the inside of my right ankle just above the bone and right away a small purple bruise appeared. It wasn't very painful, I could walk no problem, I just knew I'd knocked it. Also no swelling. Within 5 minutes, my whole foot felt numb and tingling. This sensation has continued. Numbness, tingling, pins and needles sensation, occasionally a deep burning itching sensation and strangely a really cold/wet feeling (even though my foot is dry) also the area just under my big toe feels like it's getting an electric shock/jagged with something anytime anything touches it (even clothing lightly brushing over the area). Anyone any ideas ?

I sure would get an XRay just to be sure and be directed on how to take care of it

It sounds as though you might have torn some ligaments or tendons? I'm no expert though - just someone else with an injured foot! If it doesn't clear up in the next day or so then a trip to the minor injuries unit may be in order.

Tingling and wet feeling usually implies a  nerve was pinched/damaged.

An XRAY will only show a fracture  tendons and nerve damage will require an MRI

    Good luck . Feel better

Thanks for replys. I think I might give doc a phone. Never had symptoms like that, so had no idea what was going on.
