You are brave having 2 knees done I AV never known such excruciating pain just having one done. I found when I went out into the cold it was more painful & took time to settle.

I know as soon as I get up in the morning whether the weather is damp or not!  Sore, stiff, the whole nine yards and none of the painkillers work as well when the weather is like that!

I know spring is supposed to be hear but hello, its freezing sad

I was told to cut the sleeves out of an old jumper and then cut the part  to just below & above the elbow and slide them over your knees to keep them warm. Haven't tried it yet but you could give it a go.

    Not sure about that now.

Think it would so ruin my fashionista image!

Yes, I suffer terribly with the cold, even when the sun is shining my knees are like proverbial icebergs.  I use wheatie bags, there are 2 types; one contains wheat (as the name suggests) and the other which is supposed to be better are filled with cherry pip.  Pop the bag in the microwave for a few minutes and place them on your knees.  Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for a while until you get used to the heat.  I put them directly onto my skin, but would suggest you put something in between, again, until you get used to it. Knee supports made from neoprene are also good, they are fairly thin but keep out the cold. Tights and leggings.  If you are male; and can’t face the thought of wearing tights under trousers/pants wear the long cyclists leggings.  Just remember to take the padding off the backside first otherwise you will elicit weird looks and comments!!

I am also one of the few people who cannot tolerate ice, so when my knees swell, on goes the wheatie.  Good luck
