Coliform sinus infection

Hi Has any one had a coliform sinus infection and what treatment worked?  Been ill for 16 months, 3 sinus operations and 22 courses of antibiotics that haven't resolved symptoms, terrible post nasal drip and headache. They have just detected coliform infection. Losing the will to live, every day is a struggle.

hi, I had and continue to have chronic sinus problems. Did you have a head scan by any chance?? And if so did it show inflammation?

Diane I had similar long running sinus problems ....still have inflammation going on. It is part of a wider systemic auto immune disease. If you have any other medical issues you might want to look at that. Causes inflammation randomly in the system. Can be just in one place or classically affects gi system and joints but not always. Have you had full bloods done including looking at inflammatory markers?

    Hi Diane,

I recently had a Coliform infection detected from 2 different nasal mucus samples. This was after contracting Whooping Cough. A round of antibiotics does not seem to have resolved the infection. I have been referred to an ENT consultant who has arranged for me to have a CT scan of my sinuses. I do have persistent PND but am unsure whether this is part of my Whooping Cough.

Have you been able to resolve your problem or are you still suffering?

    Regards
