Collecting Saliva sample from an elderly relative (DNA)

Hi ALL. Not a medical question as such but hopefully Im in the right area. Im looking to do a DNA test for an elderly relative. Unfortunately collecting the saliva sample by spit is not an option. Has anyone please got any tips on how to collect enough even if its over a few days. We cannot use a swab as this contaminates the sample for this purpose. Any suggestions or ideas would be very welcome. Thank you
