college...

ok, so I'm meant to start deciding where I want to go to college soon, well no, I'm deciding wether to do a levels at my current school or got to college, I wanted to go to a college around two bus rides away from where I live or I can stay at my current school and get dropped off by my parents, I have Fibro so I'd struggle to be up and ready to catch the bus and go to college on time, do you think to college could find something or support us in something so that it isn't so stressful and so I won't have to walk too far as that's difficult? Has anyone ever had anything sorted or denied anything from a college? Any help would be much appreciated x

I'm in Australia, so can't really help you, just wanted to encourage you to try and be strong..your soo young to have to deal with Fibro...perhaps you have a disability support person in the college or in the govt..really feeling for you Charley..I've had it for 22 years plus..it's just soo hard to diagnose...years for me and then it took a while to get my meds sorted...things are really good now..just flare ups...which everyone gets..be blessed..less stress is the key..:-) xx

    Hello Charley,

What a tough decision you have to make. I really feel for you dealing with this so young. I have no real experience to offer you about college, it would be good for you to check out what support would be available. My feeling is, if school can offer you what you want, it would be less stressful than 2 bus rides away. Also, presumably school knows you and your problems, so it might be the less stressful option. I did my A levels in the 6th form, then went onto college.

    Take care Anne

Hi Charley, I agree with Christine that you should seek help from the college to see if there's anything they can do for you. Best of luck. x
