Colposuspension

Hi all. Two weeks two days post laparoscopic Burch Colposuspension. Can anyone reassure me that this heavy feeling, pain in my public area and saddle pain around bum is normal? Also when did you ‘get intimate’? Either with your partner or solo if you know what I mean! I’m worried I’ve done too much and these pains are because I carried some bags.  Also when did you drive? I’m 38 with two kids under 8 and I’m so frustrted. Thanks x

Hi all I’ve posted this separately on a new thread but I’m two weeks two days post laparoscopic Burch Colposuspension. Having pains now in my public area and saddle area. Can’t even imagine driving. Is this normal?? Have I done too much?

I'm not even sure what colposuspension even is so can't answer while not knowing? Usually from pelvic floor surgery it's no driving for 6wks as you won't be able to do an emergency stop. Insurance doesn't usually cover you for that period either.

Hi Robyn it’s where they pull your bladder back up with stitches to help with prolapse. It’s called the Burch procedure

Oh thank you for clarifying that. I guess your pain is relevant to where they stitched the bladder up to.

No I have the same the consultant called it stacking that causes the heavinest around the bottom, so I think it's normal, just have good day And bad, it's all about the emptying of the Bowles for me, so lots of fibre , water , etc

Thanks Valerie - it feels ‘heavy’ Down there so I’m trying to stick to my pelvic floor exercises as much as possible. I guess I didn’t understand how big the op was x
