Christine, are you on Lyrica, by any chance...I have heard of women gaining weight for no apparent reason just on that drug.  I take Lyrica, but can only take one a week...My pain is terrible, but I refuse to put any more weight on...I have shrunk from 5'4' to 4'11", due to spinal trouble...just wondering....hugs.

O'  diagnosisisalie,no one is going to worry about that, most if us have added weight through our needs..don't ket that define you.  You are beautiful no matter what you think you look like...take a selfie of your face...it's nice to see eachother when chatting..be blessed, have a lovely day....we must really  love ourselves-(know it's hard) no matter what we look like...that's only our temporal shell anyway...xxxx

I put on loads of weight for no real reason other than 'flares', because that is when it seems to kick it off.  Not any painkillers or my diet..   Which is a careful one.  I literally feel it packing on within a week!!  No joke...   It really annoys the heck out of me as I'm normally a healthy NZ size 10 to 12, blowing out to a 14 - 16.... grrrrr Yeah it's horrible when your not used to packing on weight.  One would think that the Heat we emitt from our explosive painful Flares would promote weight loss!!   lol....

I so agree Deb.  I've never been a thin lizzie but I puff up like a souffle at times, not stomach bloating just general all over weight gain and it does seem to coincide with when I'm most in pain.  I've had about a week or two or real agony, nothing seems to ease it and I weighed myself this morning and I've gained about 6 or 7 lbs in two weeks.  I've actually been eating less than usual because I'm so tired that by the time I've cooked a meal I don't really have enough stamina to eat it all.  I was thinking maybe I just burn up less energy because when I'm in so much pain I do everything so much more carefully and less energetically - even getting dressed is hard so I take a long time and dont burn off the calories maybe.

Yay Kaz, your dead right, our weight definitely doesn't  define us at all...we all should be accepted for who we are..not just what our image should be,..we need to be happy in our own skin..whatever that looks like...lol

Losing the plot a little now - I think you probably meant to reply to Carole, who in turn probably meant to reply to Diagnosisalie - I'm easily confused.  I'm pharmaceutical free other than the occasional paracetamol.  Chemical meds and toxins just dont suit me unfortunately, I took a codeine yesterday as I was just doubled up with pain and I spent the rest of the day being sick, so I won't do that again in a hurry.  I take curcumin capsules for the arthritis inflammation but haven't really found anything for the fibro pain that doesn't make me very ill.  I'm unable to take any opiates at all, they just make me very ill so it's not worth it.  Even the gels like voltarol arent any good, so I like you Christine, am trying to eat naturally - not quite paleo but close.  I've swapped to gluten free products, bake my own bread with gluten free flour and nothing processed either.  Back to basics, eg butter not spreads, fresh or frozen veg, lots of herbs and spices for flavouring and plenty of healthy oils and fats.  My stomach loves it, just wish the pain would listen too smile

Oops sorry fir the confusion Loxie...as if we need more...it's just too confusing fir me at the moment...I take tumeric too twice daily..double the recommended dose for arthritis...we certainly make someone rich for

sure...recommended by a Naturapath in my church to take mutton bird oil-amazing so far....it's irganic...I think it's only made here in Australia..but its online...I take only Amitriptilyne for Fibro..it really works forme one at 6pm every night...25 mg...sleep like a baby no pain..last pretty much until the next one..I also take Osteo Panadol 2 every 6 hours ni more than 6 a day it's slow release..,over the counter..doesn't build up in your system..pretty

safe..only wish there was something for this Fibro fig..lol..be blessed..have a lovely day too..:-) xxx

Oh Bless ya cotton socks...   I understand...  but no-one here would judge or even recognise your wieght... (most of us have wieght issues now)..  Don't let your weight increase rule you, or rob you of self confidence possums...

You or anyone else could have their face covered in Tattoo's and no-one would judge..OR Bald as a badger.  It's about respecting folk for their heart, for what lays beneath the skin, and respect for their shoes/boots or barefeet. Everyones life journey is different in some ways, but not all ways... What definitely is the same, is the fact we are human beings on the same planet, and we share 'Pain'...and loads of it...

      Bless diagnosisialie..
