Your not doomed. Why not start researching ways to build back up. I love You tube, start searching ways to help manage anxiety and thoughts. How to build up my own self care and resilience. Keep a diary of your progress. In the meantime find a nice GP and ask to be referred for talking therapy or CBT. All these things will help you work on yourself. Goof luck and dont give up Ever! x

i will need to do something soon. i cant live like this. do you think all antidepressants will cause more anxiety at the start?

Yes, they do, and Prozac can cause quite a bit of brutal side effects in the beginning, but over time they do fade. You have to be very patient with this drug as it takes some time to settle into your system. It took me a good 16 weeks or so for me to notice that the anxiety had really calmed down. I also meditated nearly every day, walked a ton, ate colorful foods ( not the ones with food dye in them) and fruits and veggies, and see a therapist weekly. If the anxiety is so bad that you cannot function, then go back to the Dr and ask for a light dose of a benzo for a temporary period of time to help.

hi Jay yes but it will calm as Sarah's advice below is really useful. my anixety was shocking to start off with but I had to do lots of self help stuff and had to have beta blockers to calm it down. once you get through the first few weeks beta blockers to help you really do come out the other side along as you do the things below Sarah is suggesting too. Dont give up you will get better. The only way is up!

I totally forgot about beta blockers..... much less addictive.... I took propranalol and it worked wonders for me.... i believe it also called Inderall...... i took it for the first few months, but it helped quite a bit.
