Coming off citalopram when will life get better?

so I've been taking 20mg citalopram for 18 months. Gradually reduced my dose until 2/3 weeks ago I stopped taking it all together. The side effects were awful; brain shakes, dizziness fatigue but the effects that have started recently are more concerning. I've been having panic attacks for the past week which I never really struggled with before AD. My mood has dropped so badly that the slightest thing makes me cry or worse angry and although common sense tells me these are just side effects I was just wondering if anyone has been through this and come out the other side?

what you described are the with drawl effects . it would be a lot more comfortable for you to slowly titrate down over a few weeks. yes most one this drug do ok after the initial with drawl pain has passed.

you'll be fine ,take it easy for a few days. it did help me get to sleep when i took it, but your body builds up immunity so fast more and more was required to have any effect so i also stopped taking it and i feel a lot better.
