Coming off sertraline

Hi everyone I started to reduce from 100mg of sertraline initially to 50mg after 4 weeks then I cut to 25mg for three weeks but it got too much so the doc advised goung back a step and doing 50mg one day 25mg the next I've got 3 weeks at that and I'm so tired and down and anxiety has increased its to be expected I suppose. I'm still managing to get out exercise etc. But the hissing in my ears is insane and constant vision changes are awful. Question to you lovely people is is 25mg one day 50 the next acceptable ? How long should i stick at this I was thinking 6 weeks ish ? Also I've just got made redundant so I even wondered to leave well alone a bit? How long before my symptoms and this dose takes to level out ! It's horrible .

I am also tapering down. Like you I went from 50mg to 25mg. I had to go back to 40mg because of the side effects. I am going to tapering by 10% of the current dose every 5 days. One website said it was not good to take 50mg one day then 25mg the next as this causes problems. I will keep you posted about my withdrawal but I am aware even tapering the dose causes unwelcome symptoms. I am taking a little bit of Valium to help ( diazepam).

I am also ten times worse in the morning. It seems to get better by the evening.

Would it not be better to wait for a while ! Just with your recent redundancy?  I think more 8 weeks. Please know this is only my personal opinion and not wishing to defend.
