I would break a 50mg in half and take regularly every day for a couple of months.

    Good luck.

I take 50mg.  I wanted to wean down and took 3/4 of a pill daily for a week and the following week 1/2 a pill a day.  I had no side effects until the end of the second week when I felt slightly off but it wasn't too bad.  However, I had another medical issue arise and decided to keep using sertraline at 50mg a day for now.

I would just try taking a little less every day.  Or, alternate 50mg one day and half a pill the next and see how it goes.

    Im also tapering..

Only been in it for 8 weeks but was prizac and others before. I have been on antidepressants for 11 years but they just dont fit me anymore. Its like my body is sort of rejecting it .. Even low dose make me feel like crap, sooo stone, anxious, brain fig and so on.

I recommand you go to a lower dose for 2 weeks and half that dose again... Its going to be best!

Maybe we can keep this post and all give everyone going through tappering or withdrawal supports????

I was taking 50mg for around 9 weeks then decided it was actually making me worse, went to 37.5mg for 10 days, 25mg for 1 week, then around 5-10mg for another week.... was just cutting the tablets so not really sure how much it actually was.

Once down at the 25mg did notice some dizzy spells nothing major and sounds at high freq seemed to drill into my head.... only lasted few days.

Took my last little bit of tablet 3 days, not really noticed any such side effects, definitely back to my normal self pre- sertraline. Do get some itching buzzing feeling on my head now and again, possibly small brain zaps but not painful. So fingers crossed I don't get anything else.

I did notice however when tapering down my body/mind had a heightened anxiety and felt a bit spaced as though someone flicked the off switch in my head but knowing this was just a side effect it bother me too much.
