Coming off sertraline/zoloft after only a few weeks - experiences?

I've been taking sertraline for four weeks, and have had extreme side effects. Mainly intense anxiety, far worse than anything I had before.I persevered with them because everyone says they can cause increased anxiety at first, and you just have to push through it. But my doctor has now said that clearly I'm one of the people they don't suit and I should come off them. I'm kind of relieved because I really feel as if they are poisoning me.

Has anyone had the experience of stopping them after a short time, and how did it go for you? My doctor has said I'm unlikely to have withdrawal effects as my body clearly hasn't adapted to them yet. But obviously I have fears about what is going to happen now. It would be good to hear from someone who has had this experience and come out the other side.
