Coming off setraline

Hi,
I have only been on 25mg for 5 days but I just can't do it, my anxiety is sky high, can't eat, sleep and I just can't cope. I know its meant to get better but I can't do with all these side effects. I was soooo much better before going on them.
Will I get withdrawal symptoms for coming off them?

I know so many people said bear with it, but I was a mess, just didn't want to get our of bed, anxiety was sky high, it was awful, still feeling bad after 2 days but I'm sure it will get better. I'm gonna try and stay off them for a while, I just don't think they agree with me!

Been off zoloft since 6 days.
I have skipped heartbeats and it scares me a lot. Might be the withdrawal no???
I woke up with terrible anxiety this morning and agitation.
Have also low mood.
I tead that its relate to withdrawal but just want reassurance. Its hard but been on meds for 11 years for anxiety and the last 2 years, they just didnt help anymore. Tried all if them!!!
I hope it gets better soon cause I hate those meds but just want to have my brain and health back.

Have been on zoloft since mid july but never was able to go more than 25mg and even that would give me bad side effects. I took it years ago and it had work but not now...just like every of them.
Im of since 6 days....its hard!

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate!!!
I would really love to be able to be off med...I am soo sick and tired of side effects.
What I dont understand is why I have skipped heartbeats since I stopped the med?
My anxiety is high since 2 days....mostly at night and I have trouble falling asleep. Like jitters in my body. And I am so impatient and irritable.
Did you have that when stopping meds?
Its so scary to read on internet and see that people suffer from withdrawal for so long. I hope I wont be like that.

Hi,
I'm sure it wont take that long, your not alone when reading about everything, I think we all do but everyone is different, so it may not be too bad for you. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? When I stopped Flouxetine, I was okay for a while and then 5 weeks later it was like boom, anxiety back, didn't want to go anywhere, couldn't eat, heart palpitations it was bad, I couldn't sleep at night and had to go on sleeping tablets. Flo is a slow working med so I put this down to withdrawal as it can happen a while after you finish. I then went away (don't know how I did but I did) and I started to feel better and before I went back on Zoloft I was about 80% there, I had NO anxiety but just felt low, so I thought I would try something else (BIG mistake) this has delayed my recovery massively, knocked me back about 3 weeks, my anxiety is with me from morning until about 8ish) We will get there, I don't know about you or anyone else, but my anxiety is fired by anxiety, I worry about when I'm going to get better. silly really.

You give me hope!
So you also have been on meds for a while. I also take it for anxiety and I can totally relate for beeing anxious about worriying when I will get better. Its like having anxiety over anxiety or beeing scared of beeing scared!!!
But it was good that you felt better before taking zoloft...That means, you will get there also!
I took prozac before zoloft...I was down to 5mg but got scared of going off so I tried zoloft since mid july... Just like you, I think I made a mistake and now its like restarting the whole process. Except that now, its the first time in my life that Im without an antidepressants ! Major step for me !!! Been on them for 11 years.
How long have you felt bad when ypur withdrawal from prozac started?
Take care xx

It seems like zoloft putted you nervous system all upside down....even after 5 days. And it can be a mix of your anxiety also.
But you said you felt better before going on them....???
Maybe you can help by taking some magnesium supplement.
Do you have any benzo you can take to ease a bit???
Or maybe call your doctor, but Im am sure he will say its your anxiety and not the med. But I do think that med have a role in this.
I am in canada and you?

Its like I have too much air in my digest system and stomach and feel so bloated. I also have sort of extrasystoles all day long. Maybe its from my digest issues. Its terrible!
I also wake up soo tired all the time.
