Coming off venlafaxine

I've only been on venlafaxine for one month 75mg. I don't think it's right for me and want to come off is it safe to just stop seeing as it's only been a month?

    Were you put on 75 mg straight away or on a lower dosage first?  This drug gets its hooks in you and you may feel bad just stopping, but since it was just a month, hopefully the unpleasantness won't be for long.  If you stepped up, I'd step back down.  If you have the extended release with smaller tablets or beads inside, I'd drop by half for two weeks  before stopping.

    I agree with the above response. Drop by half for about a week then either stop or take on alternate days for another week and then stop. Should not be a problem. I would be concerned about the condition you were prescribed it for and discuss with the doctor how it can be managed instead if the specific drug is indeed not right for you. All the best.
