In the absence of any other option - I have just attempted to Report my last previous post on this thread just above (I think, who knows). I wanted to be sure you saw it to read as feedback and I have always been able to do that before. Clicking on Report in my own post sends me back to the top of the thread. Since if I had posted something offensive and on thinking about it wanted it deleted - that isn't any use. Is it?

The whole system was down fourteen hours or so ago.

hey BettE....my own opinion about keeping copies of posts (which I wouldn't know how to do anyway), is if we need to do things like that, then this becomes more of an "assignment" instead of an informative forum.....does that make any sense, or am I really off base?

and as for the fee, I'm on a fixed income (disability), and therefore (sadly) must REALLY watch my pennies! I have to "pick and choose", and that Greatly narrows my choices as to how most wisely spend my $$.

I'd like to continue on this forum, so I hope things will right themselves soon!

You seem to have ended up with organising with a z second time round Betty!!! The pink bit is just the spellcheck - it seems to have a rather limited vocabulary judging by the amount of stuff that comes up pink on my reply box. Just as well it doesn't continue over into the post!

If I kept a file with all my stuff I'd run out of space n my tiny laptop. I used to - but it becomes so difficult to find. I'm sure you remember "Eileen's Input" on the NE forum - at least I can find stuff reasonably easily there if I want it and we had plenty of warning that was likely to disappear on the old host. What makes me so angry here is that there was no suggestion that something like access to past posts would disappear - and no consultation with us about what we needed. They were told - as they were told last time and probably the time before too - that certain things were not a good idea but ignored the advice. Only people who actively use the forums see where needs are.

As a follow up after reading other posts, below is where you can find all of the individual profile pages and what they do. You can get to your own profile page by clicking on your name on any post. If you want to view another user's profile click on their name.

• Your own profile page shows recent Badges, Groups joined and recent activity with links through to full lists.
• Clicking "View all" next to Badges and Groups sections takes to to full lists for both of these.
• Clicking "All" in Activity section on your profile page takes you to the full Activity page here which lists everything you have done in the forums.
• Clicking "Replies" in Activity section on your profile page takes you to a list of all of your replies with a snippet of what was posted. At the moment this will only show your 40 most recent replies as the Load more at bottom is not working.
• Clicking "Discussions" in Activity section on your profile page takes you to a list of all of your discussions The page you land on are all of the discussions you have started with a tab option at the top to show the discussions you are following. At the moment a maximum of 20 will display as the pagination to show more is not there.
• The Notifications link at the top right of every page takes you to a list of your notifications. This list reflects any emails that you should receive and can be used if there are any issues with emails not being received etc.

I hope this helps until we get these pages up and running fully again. I have passed on feedback received about these and along with those suggestions I have also suggested a few other changes to make these pages more useful and easier to see what each entry is about.

case in point.....I'm now looking at my post and can hardly read it ad the font is SO small!

a few hrs ago, font was just right...lg and bold, easy to read for someone such as me who's having problems seeing now anyway, and having eye surgery next week! please bring back the lg font!!

You should be able to enlarge the font on your device. I haven't noticed any changes to size of font on my laptop.

Mine suddenly became larger than I was used to - but I have changed it on chrome and it is fine now. I hate big print...

I tried to do that, but to no avail....I'm using my cellphone (I don't have a computer), so maybe that's the problem!??

I NEED LARGE PRINT...at least for now while I'm waiting to get my eyesight corrected! Soooo difficult to see right now.

I don't own a cellphone let alone a smartphone. But there's a lot of information on line about how to change font size on a phone. Maybe you could check for your particular device? Or just wait for a couple of days because it does seem as though a lot of the problems with display are with phones not computers and I'm sure the tech wizards are working as hard as they can.

Go to 'settings' on your cell fone and go through the various settings and somewhere in the settings there will be 'font size'...you can change the size and style...hope you manage to change it....ciao for now..👍

Ughhh! I rest my case mary (and everyone else).....I found Mary's post "accidentally" while responding to Anhaga. I answered Mary and went back to my emails, only to find an email from her that I'd already read and answered!!

This is all part of why this new format is so confusing! 😷⚡😱

just heard from surgery nurse. says they need to get clearance from both my Rheumy and pulmonary doc's and can't schedule surgery till 12/10!!!

I explained what I'd been told about how Crucial it is that i have this done ASAP!

she looked further into doc's notes and said " oh yes, you are right...I'll have to get back to you!"....it's now after 5pm on Friday evening, so obviously this is on hold till then!

I know doctors are busy, they've got other patients then me, but JEEZ.....don't they realize how stressful it is to have to wait for such important information.....Ughhh😟....

Maybe you need to use the phone a bit less - that is probably what is giving you headaches, trying to read screens. It can be a problems anyway, with impaired vision your poor brain is really struggling.

You can't really complain about having read a post while scrolling through the forum and then finding the link to it telling you it has been posted. Nothing works instantaneously and it happens to me all the time.

Have you heard from the surgery nurse yet? I've been there many times waiting for return calls from surgery, or even trying to get through ...sooooo frustrating 😣and you could well do without that kind of stress under the circs., also did you manage to change your font size?..

This site has gone cuckoo!...still getting duplicate posts sometimes posts from days ago....Wow! talk about things sent to try you! I do hope your getting your op date arranged for sooner rather than in November...did you mean 12/11 cos you put 12/ 10 which was yesterday friday....

Of course it's the US way of dating isn't it 12/10 as apposed to UK 10/12...😕 silly me!....Awww no! you have an ulcer too!😣 I was told by a doctor years ago that when you get acid eat something..nothing that will aggravate your stomach but something mild and bland...and i find that works for me when i get acid on the odd occasion. I eat half of banana and sip half cup of milk. He said the stomach releases acid when you eat and also releases acid if we have an empty stomach so needs food to neutralise the acid....

Hope you hear back soon lynda...such a stressful situation no wonder your ulcer playing up....happy days ahead!....😊👍

An issue that has been reported is users receiving duplicate emails/notifications. I have checked in our email sender site and I cannot see any cases of duplicate emails being sent. If anyone does have this issue can you forward any duplicate emails to ps.webmaster@patient.info. The only thing I have seen is what may look like duplicates but it is when the same user posts quickly in the same thread which will result in multiple emails for the same discussion.

Seems a fair possibility!

If I click on Profile, all I get is my brief details. No link to anything else.... groups joined, recent activity badges ( not that I'm interested, I think they are childish )

However I can get them if I click on my name on any post.... as appears in your instructions further along. very confusing.

Just seen this post. When i say duplicate and even triplicate posts, i mean i can get a post one day and get the same post 2 or 3 days through my email. It's all out of sync. Also, this post of yours it didn't come through my email i just happened upon it when reading posts that did come through my email. This has been the scenario with many other posts i just 'happen upon' whilst reading other posts...so frustrating to say the least!!😣

The link I used on the word "Profile" in my post goes to https://patient.info/forums/me which is the same page as you arrive at when clicking on your own name so I'm not sure what the confusion is?

On that page at the moment are links to the full pages as described in my post above.

The work on improving these is continuing and we hope to get these out in the next few days with further improvements to come later.

Thank you. I don't pretend to understand but as I seem to be able to get where I want just by clicking on my name in any post that's what I'll do for now and hope to keep up as all the improvements appear.
