Battling with eczema most of my life

My Eczema

This is not an advert, all I seek is support as I try yet another remedy.

As I venture off into yet another attempt in overcoming and managing the angry disease that is spreading all over my body causing me discomfort and total embarrassment.

Whilst I don’t suffer from a life threatening disease, eczema threatened my quality of life.

For the past 18 years I have suffered with dry red scaly unsightly patches all over my body.  This resulted in my not wanting to go out in public.  I consulted some of the top general practitioners, dermatologists, herbalists, naturalists, homeopathic doctors and specialists as well as a whole variety of soothes says out of sheer desperation, over the years, as well as a variety of online solutions.  Some prescribed a variety of remedies from whale sperm cream to highly restrictive dietary requirements, sometimes resulting in short term reprieve.  Not only at great financial cost but an even greater emotional cost as each time I was promised a solution but alas nothing worked permanently and back to highly abusive cortisone, I sought comfort.  In frustration I also began comfort eating and the kilos have piled compounding my anxiety and depression.

Cortisone dried and thinned out my skin to the extent that I often feel my skin tearing at the slightest movement.

Having spent hours, days, weeks, months and years researching for a sustainable solution, an electro frequency generated solution keeps on reappearing.  I have searched high and low for an apparatus which enables this, without success.  I discussed my research with my husband, an electronics technician who designed an electronic frequency generator for me.

I am obviously excited whilst also sceptical due to past empty promises.

The purpose of this diary is to record either a success story or just another failure!

My research findings suggest using the frequency generator daily, for ten minutes intervals with a twenty minute break between them.

Well here is holding thumbs as I embark on my first treatment.

Hi - I feel for you and believe you WILL be cured with faith and determination! My elder daughter was born with dry skin, which became eczema, and I tried many remedies for her to no avail.  Remember, some work for some but not for others. Anyway, my beautiful daughter has had several serious flare-ups over the years (she is 27 and a mental health nurse, so the stress mounts - bear this in mind...) , including of late, since her previous episode in 2010, when she had to live with me (she colapsed in my living room and could not stand because of the cracks.) Well, since 2010, when she eventually got better, she seems to have failed to balance her stress with serenity, which I believe has contributed to its return... You have had eczema constantly with no let up? If so, you must have learnt so much patience over the years; a gift which many people have not got. Bless you! Now, do you appreciate the IMPORTANCE of a healthy diet. And I don't just mean a salad here and there. Have you looked into the importance of alkaline foods as opposed to acid (which you also need but LESS of)? Have you looked into the importance of oily foods like avocadoes and high anti-oxident foods like fresh ORGANIC spinach? STOP eating rubbish, and you will save money when you go ORGANIC! Reduce tea/coffee to 1 cup of each (if you must) and replace with herbal teas like green/camomile/mint. Make your body YOUR TEMPLE... It sound pretentious, but it isn't. As I say to my daughter, make yourself number one priority - it is not being selfish - it is listening to your body saying: "HELP ME!" Also, stop the cortisone cream and BUILD your skin back to health by healing it naturally. Google "natural cures for eczema" and join the Eczema Society for further advice and support. My daughter has found a great "eczema" website and when she comes over later for a curry (after having a week of oily fish & salad etc) i will ask her what it is and send it to you, unless you find it already. You can do this. And regarding the generator? If it works, great! if not, get on with it, girl! XXX

Hello I have had Eczema all my life and tried everything under the sun. Below is how I am managing to keep on top of things.

Eating lots of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables, pulses, nuts & seeds, lean protein

Cut down on dairy & sugar

    Use pure chimps super combo

Take a daily probiotic tablet, use honey too sweeten things (both boost your immune system)

    Take a multivitamin every day

Hope this can help people like it did me. Took me a while to figure it out (it all starts from within).

After some time of using the frequency generator I noticed at first the problem became a little worse, but the strangest phemomenon happened!  Some years back I had a motorcar accident and since then have battled with a severe headache felt on the felt side of my head. The headache is gone and the relief of no longer having to live with this headache is amazing!  I have also from time to time felt pains in my joints and put this done to aging - this too has disappeared and now I wake up refreshed no headache and no joint pains.  The excema is no longer scaley and itchy and the redness has turned a paler shade.  I am still using cortisone cream but now no longer have to apply daily just to aleviate the itchinesss. I will continue to use my frequency generator and have come to enjoy the quite me time whilst I do my treatment.  Here is holding thumbs that my excema may just disappear one of these days.

Hi - can you tell me where a "generator" can be bought from? Also, my daughter and i have researched that eczema could be related to problems in the gut. If there are toxins there, they will penetrate the gut wall and enter the system. The yellow pimples are the toxins making their way to the surface of the skin and scratching them releases the toxins! I suggested organic live plain yoghurt, which is good for killing bacteria and cleansing the gut, but my dauhgter wants to go dairy free (to avoid possible allergies) and is opting for pro-biotic tablets, though there are expensive! Ironically, a friend said her child's eczema cleared up after applying evaporated milk, leaving overnight (which forms a 'skin') and rinsing with water and oil the next day! My daughter is also fasting for three days, drinking only water with a little organic cider vinegar (another anti-bacterial). Good luck!

    Hi Toula,

Sorry to hear of your long term suffering of eczema, it can be a daily nightmare and I have had several years of hardly going out or feeling happy due to constant discomfort and tiredness from not sleeping.

I noticed that you mentioned cortisone as the only method of eczema relief, do you also use moisturisers regularly? I used to use hydrocortisone all the time before I forced my way for a dermatology appointment, and was told how I should be applying moisturisers several times a day, and only using hydrocortisone when eczema flares up or every now and again to prevent a flare up. I have found doublebase is great for my face, arms and back. Dermol for my legs, stomach and chest, and Epaderm for my ears. I hardly ever need to use steriod creams now. Also, at my last doctors appointment, I was told that it is better to use steriod based products for as little time as possible and as such it was advised that I use a stronger steriod cream if it flares up. I was prescribed betamethasone, but like I said literally hardly ever need to anymore. Good luck xxx
