Job Centre questioning my illness

Posted , 5 users are following.

I've suffered panic attacks and anxiety for 4 years.  Was made redundant last year, I'm volunteering 3 days per week and the job centre just don't understand my illness, anybody suffered that?.

I take amiltryptaline, gabapentin and peroxitine - they do help!!

      Hi,

      Thanks for your comments.

Assessment went well, to wait 4 weeks for results.  Surprise, surprise, the assessor was telling me that there is a massive increase on anxiety/panic attacks.  I told her that I do come under the Mental Health "umbrella".  I will not be discriminated against any other illness just because I suffer panic attacks and anxiety.

If refused, I told her that I would take this further as this "illness" demands to be "noticed".  I think she realised I was on a mission so will wait the decision!!!.
