Anxiety, I need to put this to bed.

Hello everyone, Ive posted in the past about anxiety issues and now Ive had all the tests done and so on, and guess what Im normal according to the docs and specilists, so I ask you all this because I dont believe I have all the answers I want, so if you can answer each one it would be a great help.

1. when I had my first full blown panic attack, how comes it was only my left arm that went tingly and cold, (Specilists answer - The two loose ribs can tangle mussles at the bottom of the left rib and cause sensations of tingling or numbness) I should add thats where I get pain sometimes, and i was stressing over it big time that night.

2. My heart bpm hit 181bpm when I was full blown panicing in the hospital. it just came on randomly and sudden, but after that why was my pulse rate sticking around the 100-120bpm mark for a few weeks?

3. Why did I lose upper body strength around the chest area?

4. Why did my left armpit go really tender and numb during the tingly arm episode.

Is this all anxiety?

If you can answer the questions clearly, it would be a great help, thank you all.

Hi Tim, I'm not a doctor but everything you are asking sounds familiar to me.  I once had a panc attack where the whole left side of my body went tingly and numb.  Your other questions seem to me just examples of anxiety focusing on particular areas.  My focus is switching around  a lot at the moment - seem to have couple of weeks on one symptom/area then it changes.  A counsellor said to me its like you get used to and can deal with one thing then your body tries its hardest to remind you, actually your very anxious.  I'm just going through some tests as i'm concerned about stomach/bowel problems.  Its hard to accept sometimes but it is anxiety.  Ive told myself it isn't a coincidence that i feel as if i've got certain illnesses and diseases at the same time im suffering with anxiety.  Hope you can find some peace soon. x

Thanks Catherine. I believe in the doctors and specilist I saw they were very good. And very professional and I do believe them. Its like one day I wake up all fine then I just randomly start feeling rubbish like palpitations they are fading away slowly because I walk and play alot of football. I feel like a little tightness in the chest sometimes and I do get left side shoulder tension after football.so it must be anxiety's. I hope your well though Catherine and wish you great happiness but I just find it easier to talk about it and get it all out. My family just shuv me off as I'm being silly thinking things, but there lovely really. I just explain things more to strangers than my family. It feels easier if this makes sense.

No matter what the doctors say our anxiety will not tell us were fine. When u say palpations what u having? U been given a beta blocker at all? I've just started taking them to reduce my heart rate and help with the extra beats I have! X
