    Hi Martin,

Yes it's normal, when i was on Sulfasalzine many moons back I a little yellow card which i had to take along to my gp for fortnightly blood tests, I also had to supply them a urine sample as-well. I think it was all to do with liver levels but don't quote me on that as its has been many moons smile

    Hi there,

Yes that seems to be the norm. I am currently on Methotrexate and have to have my bloods taken every 2 weeks. Although mine get sent straight back to my consultant. This may all change when I see him again in 2 weeks.

Can I ask how do you record your own bloods in your record book? Who is checking them and how do you get the results back?

I get my blood test results at my Gp, I take my record book in and the Secretary fills it in, this happens every three months. So I have quite of few years of recordings.

Oh I see, so the dr would flag up any problems. I feel a little over all this now... It's very daunting to think having regular blood tests, taking meds and having tiredness and pain is forever!
