Question about Urolift procedure

I am scheduled to have the Urolift procedure in about 3 weeks. I have watched several videos of the procedure online, but I have a question about the procedure. I am curious as to how the Dr. can be assured that the urolift clip penetrates through the outer side of the prostrate before unfolding and not trying to unfold within the prostrate? I fear major problems if this should happen.

I am no expert on Urolift. I rejected it and went with the FLA treatment. In my investigation of the Urolift I consulted with the Director of Urology at he UT Southwestern Research Hospital. He told me that it was becoming apparent that there was an issue with the "grow over of the tissue". This was explained that after time, the prostate tissue was growing over the clips inside the gland and surgery would be required to remove them if that happened. I took it to also mean that after a period of time the tissue would have to be removed over the clip to adjust them. I went with Focal Laser Ablation 13 months ago and I am very pleased with the results. Do your research.

Here is a thread on this site to check out. Good Luck.

No clue, but trust modern medical science.  Had mine 2 1/2 year ago with six thingies.  They work.  Takes a while to heal but most worth it.  Wasn't long until I was peeing and coming like a teenager.  I'm 73 now.
