FDA warsn False negative Troponin with Biotin

I did a post with link but moderator has to ok that. But it is important to know that BIOTIN in your vitamins or supplements will cause a false negative TROPONIN if it was taken within 12 hours of test. So any heart patients are advised to check you vitamins and supplements and do not take them if they have biotin.  My cardiac is reviewing all my records and ct of heart because highly likely we have missing heart attacks. I do have ones where I did have MI or raised troponins because test was taken after 12 hours taking them but others indicated MI on ECG and I had taken biotin with in just a couple ours in vitamins.

Remember this is in most multiple vitamins and three in my home had larger dose then it says in FDA report to negate the Troponin test

    Hi cher,

?This is why doctors and cardiologists, well any specialists do not advocate supplements, they interfere with lots of tests and medications and in some incidents death occurs. This has been known for decades. Doctors usually will allow vitamins and supplements as a last resort after a medication review, here anyrate, don't know how it works where you are.

?I'm all for "if it works" and doctor Ok's it I will take that route, although sometimes I don't tell the doctor when I'm trying something out, I stop when I can see that it's not benefiting me. I see a lot of people advocating L'arginine is it for coroanary artery spasms ? I asked my cardiologist in regards to this and he informed me that it may or may not be beneficial, so I then asked my pharmacist and was informed basically the same thing, generally if our bodies are lacking in minerals and medications/ food rich in minerals don't help maintain them then  vitamins could be considered beneficial. Unless our diets are poor then there must be something medically wrong for our bodies to be deficient in various minerals.

?Thanks for the heads up on this, even though I have never heard of this drug, probably known under a different name here where I am.
