I've gone through 2 antibiotics, and I'm on my third. If I had Lyme would I be safe?

I keep feeling sick after random infections and sickness that really doesn't make sense. And I *still* feel horrible.

I can't get to a doctor and I'm paranoid of it being lyme....

If I've had two antibiotics and now I'm on Clindamycin twice a day- is there a chance the Lyme would be taken away or kept from harming me?

Thanks <3

    Hi Luna

What makes you think you have lyme disease? Have you been bitten by a tick or noticed a bullseye rash? Is you noticed a bite, hiw long ago was it? Have you been tested for it? What are your symptoms?

Doxycycline is normally the first choice of antibiotics for lyme disease.

I have had chronic lyme for 20 years, I saw the tick on my bedroom floor 20 years ago and had terrible flu around that time. For 10 years my only symptoms were dizziness and feeling tired. I never saw a bullseye rash and didn't realise I'd been bitten and docs couldn't work out what was causing symptoms. After 10 years I started getting allergies so was given an injection of corticosteroids, within 15 mins of the injection my body went into what they said was an anaphylactoid reaction, that reaction lasted 8.5 years - horrendous symptoms that changed my life and kept me housebound. After researching my symptoms i got tested for lyme in USA and Germany- both positive. 1.5 years ago I started antibiotics (clindamycin) I'm much better now I can go out shopping and go to the gym, although I still have bad days and I still have lyme and I'm still on clindamycin.

Hi! I'm so sorry you had that happen. That's horrible sad

      I never had the rash, and I wasn't bitten.. I don't think.

But the reasons for my worry are: I got a flu virus type thing a few months ago, which turned into bronchitis and a nasal/uri infection.

This was treated, then I got another uri type thing.

And now, I'm on the clindamycin for what the doctor said is a "mild infection of the nose probably, and allergies"

But I still feel like I'm having a slight fever, I'm dizzy, keep getting headches, pain, etc.

Along with this they did scans and saw that I have spasms on my neck and lower back. Those came out of nowhere and I never got them fixed.

My mother swears I'm fine, but I'm worried that if it is Lyme- even being on antibiotics I'll have complications.

I've had my eyes checked, an ekg, 3 blood tests, urine test, chest scan, head scan, stomach scan, and back scan. But none of these showed anything. All that came up was my back issues.

Some viral infections can take a long time to clear up. Did they test you for EBV or CMV?

Back and neck problems do cause dizziness but so do inner ear infections.

If you think there's a possibility you could have been bitten a few months ago or in the past, then you could get tested with Armin Labs in Germany.

Lyme causes many symptoms but medical checks always show up healthy. Only a lyme test will rule it out. Lyme seems to be able to lay dormant for years and flares up when your immune system is low.

Lyme attacked my thyroid and nervous system causing hyperthyroidism, tremor, anxiety, distorted vision, allergies, palpitations, weight loss, weight gain, headaches, nausea, muscle, nerve and bone pain, breathlessness, feeling faint, confusion, brain fog etc. Each if us is different depending on what part it attacks or damages
