i don't have much acid reflux but i have been hoarse for 1 and 1/2 years, can't seem to get my voice back ..been taking prilosec twice a day 40 mil grams for 5 months now and nothing ...

as your doctor sent you to have endoscopy to see whats going on ? or maybe a different medication would help

find a gastro doctor, have an endoscopy! A specialist can give you the best meds for your condition! Strict diet, no spicy food, no alcohol, no smoking, no chocolate, no tomato products, no carbonated beverages, elevate your head with pillows to sleep, stay away from anxiety if possible, Eat Yofurt, take vitamins especially while on meds! Drink lots of water! Eat small meals frequently and chew slowly and NEVER wait until you are starving to eat. Carry crackers if u cant stop to eat. Never stuff yourself... Its hard to follow but gets easier with time...
